MasterWeld Corten (ER80S-G) NiCu MIG Welding Wire
MasterWeld Corten MIG welding wire is a specialist low alloy MIG wire for welding of weathering steels often known as Corten (Cor-Ten) steel.
MasterWeld Corten offers excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion, due to the controlled level of Cu, Cr and Ni, along with a good match to the parent material.
Weather resistant - or weathering steel usually contains 0,5% copper that creates a layer on the surface that prevents further oxidation which makes it weather resistant.
MasterWeld Corten welding wire also contains this addition of copper to offer the same properties for the weld seam and increases also slightly the mechanical values.
