The MW1900 Active Carbon Filter acts as excellent barrier within the welding fume extractor for the removal of odours generated by the welding fumes. This filter is not included in the MW1900 standard pricing but is an optional extra.

How does the Active Carbon Filter Work?
The activated carbons are materials, made predominantly of carbon in the
form of micro-crystals of graphite, treated so as to obtain a porous structure
with a large internal surface area. Thanks to these characteristics they have
high adsorbent capacity and are able to absorb, during the contact phase,
many types of substances and odours, attracting the molecules in their inner surface.
The absorbent capacity of the filter is given by the types of pollutants and
from their combination.
Can be easily disposed of
The MW1900 Active Carbon filter is made with inert materials which, if they are not contaminated with toxic-noxious substances deriving from their use, can be disposed of as solid urban waste.
