Esab Rebel

Offering some of the most innovative welding technology available in today's market. A true breakthrough design inspired by professional welders, it is is a complete package to weld anything – mild steel, aluminium, stainless steel and go anywhere.

The most incredible go-anywhere, weld-anything machine. You do not know the meaning of a typical day - what it is like to work 9 to 5 at a desk. You do not know where you will wind up on your next job, but you do know that you will have to be ready for anything. When it comes to welding, that means any process, any power, any material, anywhere, and every time. The go-anywhere, weld-anything machine that has everything you need to get the job done - start to finish. It is anything but typical.

  • In the single phase dual voltage range, in addition to the EMP 215ic that took the market by storm, the all-new EMP 235ic has now joined it. The EMP 235ic has all the benefits of the 215ic but with the fact that it will take a full 15kg reel of welding wire, whereas the EMP 215ic will only take up to a 5kg spool.

  • Along side these we now have the EMP 255ic and EMP 320c 3 phase (415V) versions, offering more power for welding thicker materials, all with the benefits and user friendliness.

  • The EMP 205 AC/DC represents a true breakthrough in welding machine technology, the first welding machine that can truly perform every welding process that exists.

Esab Rebel Benefits

  • True multi-process performance for best-in-class MIG, Flux-cored, MMA, including challenging electrodes, and Lift TIG welding.

  • Exclusive sMIG ("smart MIG") feature continuously learns and adapts to the operator’s welding technique to provide a stable arc and superior, repeatable welds; increases productivity for the experienced welder, and reduces training time for novice welders.

  • Innovative user interface with a large TFT display to provide a clear view of the weld parameters and settings, also from a distance. The display is loaded with exclusive features: on-demand availability of the user’s manual, listing of spare parts – all in multiple languages.

High Performance, Smart, Versatile, Tough & Complete

  • Purpose Built Systems - Many machines claim they're multi-process, but are little more than a MIG machine in disguise. The EMP 215ic is a true multi-process welder, which means whether you're welding MIG, Flux-Cored, Stick - even those tricky 6010 rods - or TIG, it will perform like it was born to run that process.

  • Crazy Smart Technology - Whether you have been welding for two years or 20, it can make your job easier with sMIG (smartMIG). For the novice, there is basic mode, which makes setup simple. For the experienced, the exclusive, built-in arc control that constantly monitors your weld and adapts for superior, repeatable welds will truly blow your mind.

  • Ready For Anything - You never know what welding process your next job will require, or what kind of input power you will have available. That is why we have packed it with the kinds of features that give you the flexibility to go anywhere and weld anything, so whether you have access to 120V or 230V power or even a generator, we've got you covered.

  • Unmatched Toughness - You are onsite, out in the field, and in the shop. So you need a machine that you can easily move around and that can withstand some serious wear and tear. With a sturdy, five-handle roll cage, steel unibody construction, and IP23S-level protection, it is the go-anywhere machine for a reason.

  • The Total Package - It takes more than a machine to get up and welding. So when you buy a oneou can expect all the equipment you need to get going - right out of the box.

FAQs

What is the recommended generator size? To obtain full output, we recommend 3.7 kVA (120V plug) or 7.5 kVA (230V plug).

Can it TIG weld aluminium? It is a DC machine, in order to MIG weld aluminium we recommend to replace the steel liner with a low friction liner and to replace the V-groove drive rolls with U-grooves.

Does adding the foot pedal provide AC capabilities? No. The foot pedal enables the operator to remotely adjust current settings, in this case for DC TIG welding.

Does it use Lift TIG for TIG applications? Yes, it uses Lift TIG arc starts without the use of high frequency. This is ideal for the shop or site application where sensitive electronic devices operate.

Where is it made? It is designed and engineered in the USA and assembled in China.
